What we do
UNICEF defends and promotes the?rights and wellbeing of more than?270?million children across China.?Since 1979, we?have worked in?partnership with the?Government of China?in?education, water and sanitation, child health and nutrition, and child?protection?for?those who are most in need.?UNICEF also provides humanitarian assistance during emergencies.?
How we do it
Our approach begins with gathering data and research. We work?with the Government of China to?carry out?innovative projects?to improve children’s lives. The results of these?projects inform national policies, legislation and guidelines?so children come first.?This?helps?improve?the lives of?millions of children?across China.
